![]() Quite frankly I couldn't ever see myself playing an RTS without a mouse anyway, so this is probably as close as I ever expect to get on the Switch. ![]() I've recommended the game to family members as a sort of turn-based version of the RTS games we grew up with (C&C Red Alert, Warcraft/StarCraft/Age of Empires, etc). ![]() Skirmishes and most of the campaign matches feel more like the more basic "destroy enemy base" levels in RTS games like Age of Empires since your units and the enemy's units are of equal strength and ability, also unlike other strategy games. Wargroove is much simpler and turn-based, however one of the main features is you capture settlements to gain coins and then use the coins to train additional units at the barracks, and you only get one commander/hero unit during a typical match, which sets it apart from other turn-based tactics games which tend to be more hero oriented. ![]() It's not an RTS (real-time strategy) but I'd recommend Wargroove.
